The Leader on Duty (LOD) provides on-site leadership and support during weekend operations. This role ensures a welcoming and safe environment for members and staff, assists with facility monitoring, and serves as the primary point of contact for staff questions, member needs, and emergencies when other leadership staff are not present.
This position requires a highly experienced professional with demonstrated success managing complex and high-risk situations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable responding to mental health crises, substance use-related incidents, behavioral emergencies, and other situations involving escalated or aggressive behavior. Strong de-escalation skills, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to maintain safety while providing support are essential.
Candidates should possess experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and crisis situations. This role requires a level of expertise and independent decision-making beyond the scope of entry-level or standard supervisory positions.
